Internet and Computing Services

In order to gain access to library computers, users should be registered members of the library. All library users are allowed a maximum of 60 minutes per day on the computers. Computers are for scholarly use only and they are used on a first come first served basis. If you face challenges in using any of the library computers, feel free to ask for assistance from the Reference Librarian on the reference desk.

View the library rules and regulations on the library website for more information. Patrons are encouraged to take note of the following that are prohibited:

  • Visits to pornographic sites or illegal sites
  • Playing computer games
  • Playing of music on the library’s computers
  • Downloading of executable programmes
  • Installation of any type of software

Any user found in violation of this regulation will have their borrowing privileges suspended for the remainder of the semester during which the offence is committed.

Access and use of all commercially available electronic resources provided by the University Library is governed by license agreements. Consequences for misuse of electronic resources may include referral to appropriate disciplinary bodies and suspension of access privileges.

Unregistered users who are not Bindura University students or staff can use Library resources upon payment of a fee. They should provide the student IDs or a letter from the employer in order to get a pass for entry into the library. The fees are as follows:
