BUSE Library FAQ

You must be a registered student to borrow books in the Library. Find the book you are looking for on the shelves and go to the circulation point/desk. Present your student or staff identity card to the circulation librarian for you to be able to borrow books.

STEP 1: Go to http://www.buse.ac.zw

STEP 2: Click on the LIBRARY page link:  http://library.buse.ac.zw

STEP 3: From the Library homepage click on Electronic Resources

STEP 4: Click on the Database link

STEP 5: Enter the authentication details: Your username and password

If you are off-campus, you can still access Library e-resources. Follow the steps below.

STEP 1: Go to http://www.buse.ac.zw

STEP 2: Click on the LIBRARY page link:  http://library.buse.ac.zw

STEP 3: From the Library homepage click on Electronic Resources

STEP 4: Click on the Database link

STEP 5: Enter the authentication details: Your username and password

You can search for books using the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). You can search by the author, the title or subject. From the results that will be displayed, you will be able to see whether the book you are looking for is available in the Library, how many copies are available and which exact location or shelf can the book be found. Use the Call Number shown on the catalogue to find the location of the book. The Call Number will be written on the Spine of the book.

The Library’s opening hours often vary. However, the Library is usually open between 0800 hours and 2200 hours from Monday to Friday. On Saturdays, the Library opens from 0800 hours to 1300 hours. The Library is closed during public holidays.

You can access the Internet through WiFi. You need some login details for you to access the WiFi.
